Jewelry

Women began wearing a large amount of accessories and jewelry during this time. Jewelry during the 1920s was angular and oddly shaped, reflecting the jazz theme. [49] It was also much bigger and better than seen before. [50] Many of the jewelry sold could be costly. However, like much of the clothing during this time, cheaper reproductions could be found for those how could afford this costly trend. This enabled flappers to follow rising trends, without spend a large amount of money. [51] Much of this jewelry was also influenced by new art movements such as cubism, art deco, and surrealism. [52] Just like many art movements of the time, woman wore odd and angular jewelry to show that they were unique and better than the past, restricted woman.
